Fifteen years ago, something clicked. I stopped seeing software as languages and frameworks, and started seeing what it actually is: invariants, state, control flow, composition, transformation, constraints. Once you see the fundamental abstractions, everything else is just implementation detail.
I became agnostic to languages, frameworks, methodologies—they all reduce to the same patterns. Many people build successful careers without this perspective. But once you see it, you can't unsee it.
We've entered a different era. AI generates code in any language, any framework, any pattern. What it can't do is understand the invariants that make systems work. Seeing through the surface isn't just useful anymore—it's essential.
